Jane’s Walk 2025
What kind of City do we dream of?
One that moves fast—or one that invites us to pause, reflect, and belong?
On May 10, 2025, Kami Ruang Ketiga organized Jane’s Walk Jakarta 2025, a walking tour through one of the city’s most historic corridors: from Stasiun Jakarta Kota to Museum Bahari. The 2.7 km route was chosen not just for its heritage architecture, but for the stories, atmosphere, and unnoticed details often overlooked in daily life.
This event is part of the Global Jane’s Walk movement, where we encourage people to explore cities on foot while sharing personal stories and local knowledge. Inspired by urban activist Jane Jacobs, Jane’s Walk promotes walkability, community connection, and the idea that public space should be shaped by the people who use it.

- Reflections and Discussions
Open conversations about public space, accessibility, and the importance of walking in shaping how we relate to the city.
As a youth-led initiative, Jane’s Walk reflects our mission to make public space more inclusive, accessible, and meaningful—not just better designed. Walking together created room for dialogue, imagination, and shared ownership of the spaces we pass through every day.
Though the walk lasted just one day, we hope it left a lasting imprint—one that inspires more young people, city lovers, and communities to step out, speak up, and take part in shaping their urban surroundings.
